Planning & Zoning


Planning Board

The Planning Board meets on the third Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Lindenwold Borough Hall. Please check with the Board secretary for schedule changes. Nancy DiDomenico 783-2121 ext. 233

The Planning Board has authority over subdivision and site plan review, the official map and zoning ordinances. This Board has been vested with quasi-judicial power in that when reviewing subdivision and site plan applications, it can decide “C” variances and establish procedures for the review of such applications.

The Planning Board is responsible for generating and updating the municipality’s master plan for the guidance and growth of the municipality.

Upcoming Project

Linden Lake Senior Housing Will be located at Jackson Avenue, Roosevelt Avenue and Norcross Street

An adult community for 55 and older.

There will be a three-story 82 unit apartment complex with 70 one-bedroom units and 12 two-bedroom units, along with a multi-purpose community room, library/computer room and a fitness/wellness room.

There will also be 12 single family patio homes fronting Roosevelt Avenue.



Zoning Board of Adjustment

The Zoning Board of Adjustment meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the Lindenwold Borough Hall. Please check with the Board secretary for schedule changes. Nancy DiDomenico 783-2121 ext. 233

The Zoning Board of Adjustment is responsible for hearing of requested variances that do not meet the requirements of the zoning ordinance. Other responsibilities of this board is the interpretation of the zoning map or ordinances.

The review of applications by this board, or variances granted by them, are based upon a specific property when strict application of the regulations will impose difficulties or hardship to the applicant through no fault of his own. No variance or relief may be granted unless it can be done without substantial detriment to the public good and will not substantially impair the intent and purpose of the zoning plan and ordinance.
