The Borough of Lindenwold is accepting applications for the full-time position of Maintenance Repairer for the Department of Public Works. Duties include but are not limited to a variety of routine maintenance and repair tasks involved in masonry, plastering, carpentry, painting, plumbing, pipefitting, sheet metal, electrical, glazing, mechanical, and/or other types of maintenance work; May require occasional other Public Works related duties.
REQUIREMENTS: Applicants should be able to perform manual labor under all weather conditions, be able to lift 40 lbs. and be able to understand and carry out verbal instructions. Applicants must have knowledge of standard tools, materials, methods, practices, occupational hazards, and safety precautions involved in performing general maintenance and repair work. Ability to take safety precautions in performing the work. Ability to obtain, store, safeguard, distribute, and properly use equipment, materials, and supplies. Ability to maintain simple records.
Applicant must possess a valid CDL Class B with Air Brake endorsement or the ability to obtain a CDL within 90 days of date of employment. Successful applicants must undergo a background check and a drug test prior to employment. Current hours of employment are 6:30am-3:00pm, with some occasional required overtime.
